Your privacy, plainly.

KINUUM is a symptom-awareness tool, not a medical service. We built it to help women recognise patterns worth discussing with a doctor. We designed the free check to be anonymous — we never ask for your name, email, or any way to identify you.

What we collect

• Your answers to the symptom questions, saved as you go.
• A random device identifier we generate (no link to your identity) so repeat visits can be grouped.
• Basic technical context: which page sent you here, your browser type, language, and timestamps.

The check itself stays anonymous

The symptom check asks for no name, email or phone number. Your answers are pseudonymous — stored against the random device id only, never against who you are — unless you choose to create an account and save them.

If you create an account

Creating an account is optional and only offered after a check, so you can save and revisit your results. If you do, we store your email and sign-in method (via our authentication provider, Clerk) and link your saved checks to your account — so at that point the data is identifiable. We never sell it or share it for advertising.

You can ask us to delete your account and saved checks at any time (self-serve export and deletion are rolling out).

If you tell us how a clinic handled you

Our “How did it go?” form lets you report, anonymously, how a clinic or clinician responded to your symptoms. Like the check, it asks for no name or contact details and is stored against the same random device id. What it does collect:

• The clinic, hospital or practice you picked (looked up through Google Places — only your search text goes to Google, never your answers) or the name and city you typed.
• The clinician's name if you choose to give it. It is kept private, used only to group reports, and is never shown publicly unless enough women have reported the same clinician and we have had legal review.
• Your multiple-choice answers about what happened: whether you felt taken seriously, what tests were done, whether you got a diagnosis or treatment, and whether you would recommend the clinic — with only a rough time band, never an exact date.
• An optional private note to our team, which is never published.

You choose how it is used. At the end of the form you pick either anonymous aggregated results on Find Care or KINUUM research only. Public results only ever appear as counts across many women (for example “7 of 9 felt taken seriously”), only once a clinic has at least five such reports, and never as a single person's account. We do not publish negative labels about any clinic or clinician.

You can delete a report straight after sending it using the link on the thank-you page, or at any time from your account if you signed in. If you reported anonymously and closed the page, email us from the device you used and we will help.

Why we collect it

To understand where people find the check helpful or confusing (including where they stop), and to improve the questions and guidance over time. Analysis is done in aggregate. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving a health-awareness tool, using data that is not linked to your identity.

We also study answers in aggregate to understand how these often-dismissed conditions show up across ages, countries and life stages — and we may publish what we learn (for example, “7 in 10 women who took the check had been told their symptoms were cosmetic”). Published findings are always statistics across many people. Your individual answers are never shared, sold, or published.

Where it's stored

Data is processed and stored on managed database servers located in the United States. Anonymous check data contains no identifying details; if you create an account, your saved checks are linked to your email.

Your choices

You can clear your saved progress and device id at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Because the data is anonymous, we're unable to locate an individual record to delete on request.

If you have an account (including one created with Google or Facebook sign-in): email privacy@kinuum.app from your registered address, or message us through your account, and we'll delete your account and all saved checks. We action deletion requests within 30 days. (Self-serve export and deletion are rolling out.)

KINUUM+ (coming later)

A future paid tier (KINUUM+) will let you upload photos for a more tailored read. That involves more sensitive personal data, so it will have its own explicit consent and stricter, encrypted handling.

If you join the KINUUM+ waiting list, we store your email so we can tell you when access opens — nothing more. Ask us any time to remove it.
